| Arrgghh! My Eyes! My Eyes! |
1. Give Your Eyes Breaks
Don't your eyes feel tired after you've been working on computer for a long time? That means your eyes need to rest. Take a break and try to stare at another thing across the room, walk around the room, and stretch your body for 10-15 minutes.
2. Blink More Often
When you are staring at something your eyes blink less often than usual and it can cause dry eyes. Take a break and close your eyes for a few seconds to rewet your eyes.
3. Have a Good Environment
Good environment means it has good lighting condition. Don't ever work on your computer in a room with bad lighting condition because it will strain your eyes in order to see. Too much light can also irritate your eyes. So, try to find your good lighting condition that works the best for you.
4. Enlarge Your Text Size
If your text size is small, you should change it. It will make you put your eyes closer to your computer screen and will strain your eyes. Keep your text size big so it will reduce the strain.
5. Adjust Your Screen Brightness
It's bad if your screen is too bright and it's still bad if your screen is too dark. Adjust your screen brightness so it won't be too bright or too dark.
6. Put Your Computer at a Good Distance
A good distance is about 18-30 inches from your computer screen to your face. Your eyes should be lined up with the top of your screen, that way it will keep your neck in a good natural position, so your eyes will be less strained by looking slightly down to the screen.
7. Wear Computer Glasses
Computer glasses are designed for looking at your computer screen. They will be very helpful for your eyes.
8. Have Your Eyes Checked
Have you take your eyes exam for this year yet? If not, you should. It is a very useful thing to do to prevent any vision problems.
